Beautiful 3D maps for Android

Getting started

Welcome to the WRLD Android SDK! To get started with our maps, you will need:

  1. Android Studio, together with the Android SDK and supporting libraries appropriate for your target platform.
  2. An WRLD API key. Sign up here for a free account and create an API key for your walkthrough example app. The token is a string consisting of 32 alphanumeric characters.

Adding a map to an existing app

The SDK is available through our Maven Repository. If you already have an Android Studio application and want to use the WRLD Android SDK, just add our repository and the library dependency to your build.gradle file:

dependencies {
    compile 'com.wrld:wrld-android-sdk:0.0.898@aar'

In your main Activity, set your API key using the EegeoApi object. Now you’re ready to add the MapView to your app! See our examples for more details, or check out our example projects on Github.

Starting from scratch

See the walkthrough for step-by-step instructions for creating a simple app. You can also clone or download a basic example project on Github.
